Kanazawa HIrokazu is the director of the International Shotokan Karatedo Federation. Born in 1931, he learned karate from Nakayama Masatoshi and Funakoshi Gichin, the first person to teach Okinawan karate in Japan. In 1957 he won the first kumit championship sponsored by the Japan Katate Kyokai. In the 1960s Kanazawa Sensei spent 2 and a half years teaching karate in Hawaii. Since then he has taught karate throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In this, the second of 3 DVDs, Kanazawa Sensei delves deeper into the art of Shotokan Karate.
